Hospital Auxiliary accepting scholarship applications

The Pawhuska Hospital Auxiliary is now accepting applications for the Health Career Scholarship awards. Forms are available at the Pawhuska Hospital. The deadline for spring applications is Feb. 25.

The completed applications are to be mailed to Scholarship Chairman Dean Shoemate, 1330 Melody Lane, Pawhuska, OK 74056.

TCTC announces upcoming classes

Tri County Technology Center has the following classes beginning in January:

• Word 201 will be taught from 4-7 p.m. Jan. 21-23. Cost is $59.

• Computers for Beginners Level 1 is slated for 4-6 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays from Jan. 27 through March 3. Cost is $139.

Farmers Market to hold community meeting

Farmers Market in Pawhuska is planning to hold a community meeting from 5-6 p.m. today at the Osage County Health Department.

Chamber requests participation in high speed broadband survey

The Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce is involved in a working group of community representatives to provide high speed broadband to the Pawhuska Business Community. We need demographics and needs to be able to determine what will work best for everyone. If you have not already please take a few minutes out of your time to take the survey at . Chamber of Commerce welcomes new officers

The Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce offered an orientation for the new Board of Directors. New office holders for the 2014 Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors are President Jeff Bute, Vice president Patricia Wilson, Secretary Kathryn Chambers and Treasurer Mike Tolson.

HOPE Clinic offers flu shots

Flu season is expected to continue for another month or more. HOPE Clinic in Bartlesville still has some flu vaccine available. It is not too late to get a free flu shot.

HOPE Clinic is open at 6 p.m. the first and third Thursdays of the month for treatment of acute or short term illnesses and minor injuries. Thursday, Jan. 16, is the next clinic night. HOPE Clinic is located at 1536 N.W. Sunset Boulevard, Bartlesville, in West Oak Baptist Church. Drop in for free flu shots. For appointments for the regular clinic, call 918-440-7692 on the Wednesday and Thursday of clinic night.

The final opportunity for free flu shots will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25. No appointment necessary.
