October 5 National Indian Taco Championship is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vendors, Music, Indian Dancing, Cowgirls and Barrel Racing, or just participating in all the fun and eating Indian Tacos. There will be a Indian Dance and Drum Competition. Dance Competition, Prize Money 1st- $300, 2nd- $200 and 3rd - $100 and there will be one Category each. Age 16 & up. Men’s straight, Men’s Fancy, Women’s Cloth, and Women’s Buckskin. The Children’s Exhibition will begin at 11 a.m. The Drum Competition is $1500 winner take all. Preliminary rounds to follow. You can be a Judge. Visitors can pay $5 for the chance to judge the Indian Tacos. People’s Choice award is a $1,000 Prize. After the National Indian Taco Event head out to the Osage County Fairgrounds for BBR Barrel Racing Competition, It is a free gate and $1,000 added money. The race starts at 6 p.m.
