Representative Lucas names legislative assistant

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — US Rep. Frank Lucas has announced the promotion of one of his staff assistants to legislative assistant.

Lucas says Brad Morris is being promoted in the Republican congressman’s Washington, DC, office.

The new legislative assistant is an Oklahoma State University graduate. Morris interned in 2011 for Republican Rep. Kay Grainger of Texas.

Lucas says Morris will work on issues that include budget, tax, education, government operations, small business, labor, welfare, social security, social issues and the arts and humanities.
