Blue & Gold 4-H Team helps keep Pawhuska clean
Osage County’s Blue & Gold 4-H team did their part during the March 16 “Clean-up Pawhuska” day.
These youngsters committed to an extended community service project and have set aside the third Saturday of each month to clean the grounds around Pawhuska’s skate park. They were accompanied by six adults, including 4-H Leader Joanie Lessert.
“These young people are so excited about making Pawhuska a prettier place to live,” said Lessert. “They can hardly wait for warmer weather so they can begin planting flowers.”
GFWC Heeko’s freshly painted Big Orange Dandy Dumpster is one of two created for the newly formed Citizens for Pride in Pawhuska committee. The trailers are available at no cost to residents.
Donations to help expand the fleet and/or help defray clean-up supplies should be made out to GFWC Heeko.
