Pawhuska Public Library kicks off Summer Reading Program 2016 on May 31 with the theme of On Your Mark, Get Set … READ!

Weekly programs will take place in the library’s community room, May 31 through July 14. Student programs for third grade through seventh grade will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m. each Tuesday. Children’s programs for pre-K through second grade will take place from 10:30-11:30 a.m. each Thursday.

This summer’s theme of On Your Mark, Get Set…Read! features reading to exercise your mind and healthy activities to get everyone up and moving. Come join in and find out what all the fun is about!

As part of this year’s summer reading, Pawhuska Public Library is having a Read for Feed promotion! From June 1 through June 30, the library will have a daily drawing for a burger meal from Sonic of Pawhuska, and a daily drawing for a pizza meal from Simple Simon’s of Pawhuska.

Get in the game by participating in Summer Reading Program 2016! The more you do, the more drawing chances you receive:

1. Attend summer 2016 programs taking place at Pawhuska Public Library.

2. Find answers to Library Scavenger Hunt clues.

3. Read books checked out from Pawhuska Public Library.

Local sponsors for Summer Reading 2016 are Sonic of Pawhuska and Simple Simon’s of Pawhuska. Statewide sponsors include The Oklahoma Department of Libraries, The Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Sonic Corporation.

See you at the library!
