High school enrollment dates announced

Student enrollment for fall classes at Pawhuska High School will be conducted Monday through Friday, Aug. 3-7, said PHS Counselor Olivia Chronister.
Enrollment is to take place from 9 a.m. to noon and 1:30-3 p.m. on each of those five days. Scheduling sessions will be held in the high school band room, which is located just west of the main building. Students may only enroll on the date specified for the class, Chronister said.
PHS’s enrollment schedule is as follows: Monday, Aug. 3, for Seniors; Tuesday, Aug. 4, for Juniors; Wednesday, Aug. 5, for Sophomores; Thursday, Aug. 6, for Freshmen, and Friday, Aug. 7, for Pawhuska eighth-graders. On Monday, Aug. 10, an enrollment “make-up” day will be held for all grade levels, Chronister said.
The counselor said the process will change this year to involve stations where the enrollment forms are to be completed. All forms must be filled out during the enrollment sessions, she said, as students/parents will not be allowed to take any forms home. Ample time needs to be set aside for completing the enrollment process, she added.
Chronister said all pertinent information should be brought to the enrollment sessions — including updated shot records, current contact information and CDIB cards.
If a student is interested in enrolling for athletics, he/she must provide a current physical if they do not have one already on file with the school district, Chronister said. Without a current physical, a student will not be allowed to enroll in athletics for the 2015-2016 school year, she added.
