3 country singers picked for finals at Cavalcade dance

Three entries have been chosen in the Country Showdown singing competition to be held at next week’s Cavalcade Street Dance.

Jennifer Varao was the last of the finalists to advance for the July 14 downtown event. She will meet the previously-announced contestants Annie Hart and Josie Zepeda.

The Country Showdown is being sponsored by radio station KRIG. Next week’s winner will move on to statewide competition. After that, there is a national competition in Nashville, which could include a television appearance and a chance for a $100,000 grand prize.
