Osage County Spelling Bee winner announced

The Osage County Spelling Bee, hosted by the Osage County Interlocal and Anderson Public School, was held Wednesday, March 11.
This year’s winner was Davyn Hinman, from Hominy Middle School. The runner-up is Shelby Bute, from Pawhuska Public Schools. Congratulations to all the excellent spellers!
The bee was open to fourth through eighth grade students who won their individual school spelling bees. Nine school districts participated.
Participants included: Ryder Gomez, Courtney Green, Dallas McGill and Ely Reese from Barnsdall Public School; Alyra Fincher and Jaime Marr from Bowring Public School; Britt King, Abigail Short, Raen Holding, and Davyn Hinman from Hominy Public School; Conner Winterhalter and Kaleb Rodriguez from McCord Public School; Zoey Pendleton and Miciah Thompson from Osage Hills Public School; Henry Matozo, Lacey Welch, Anna Hudson and Shelby Bute from Pawhuska Public School; Karli Wehunt and Tatum Fogle from Shidler Public School; Mya Dewberry and Dominic McKinney from Woodland Elementary in Fairfax; Patrick Fitzgerald and Brett Graham from Woodland Middle School in Ralston; Desiree Rikard, Sunshine Armer, Drake Rikard and Lynzee Parker from Wynona Public School.
