House FM thanks community for support

94.5 The House FM did not reach their Pledge Drive goal but they appreciate the generous contributions from listeners to help fund the radio ministry for another year.

Doyle Brewer, CEO and Founder of the radio networks said, “In the last 12 months we have built our Pawhuska station on 94.5 and added a new frequency on 94.3 to give a stronger signal to Shawnee. In the next few months, our new Ada station will sign on the air on 93.9. Every station we add requires more work, so we have added more staff to handle the extra load. We have worked within the same budget for the last 3 years but can’t hold off raising it any longer, so the budget this year is $1.5 million.”

Garnering support from 2,413 contributors, with 545 of those being new contributors, $1,380,000 was raised. That amount equals 92 percent of the 1.5 million dollar budget goal to cover the operations of the 12 stations in the radio network. Due to the large number of listeners on the internet, pledges came in from 377 cities in 42 states and 11 countries including Kenya, Singapore, Denmark, and Switzerland.

Richard, a listener from St. John’s in the Caribbean said, “I have been listening to the House FM for over three years now. I live on the island of Antigua in the Caribbean. I listen everyday via internet while working or at home. The music is uplifting and keeps me awake especially if I am working late at night.”

Although the radio network won’t continue the Pledge Drive on-air, they will keep taking pledges by phone or online. To make a pledge or find more information, visit TheHouseFM.com or call 1-800-324-8488.
