The Drummond Home will be hosting “Grandmother’s Garden,” a presentation given by Linda Greenshields, of Red Rock on Saturday, April 11, from 1-3 p.m. at the First Christian Church, 202 South Wood, Hominy.
Greenshields will entertain by taking attendees back to gardens and memories of their own grandmother’s era and will sing garden songs taught to her by her own grandmother.
Tickets are on sale for $7 each. The Drummond Home will be taking 50 reservations until the end of March. All proceeds will benefit the Drummond Home. Tickets may be purchased at the Drummond Home or by sending a check or money order to 305 North Price, Hominy, OK 74035. For information, call 918-885-2374.
April is quilt month for the Drummond Home and they are seeking participants who would like to “loan” their quilts to be displayed at the site all during the month of April. Many of the quilts that will be displayed will be ones belonging to the late Addie Drummond.
The Drummond Home just received a new supply of Pioneer Woman, Ree Drummond’s cookbooks that are signed and ready to sell.
The Drummond Home is located at 305 North Price, Hominy, OK 74035. Hours of operation are: Wednesdays through Saturdays 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with tours being given between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with the last tour starting at 4 p.m. A small admission fee of $3 for adults, $2.50 for seniors age 65+, and $1 for children age 6 to 18 will be taken at the door.
