9 receive Otha Grimes Memorial Scholarships

It is administered by the Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation which works to support student opportunities and success through a comprehensive statewide system of career and technology education.

The Oklahoma CareerTech Foundation manages donor dollars to provide the most advanced educational opportunities available to students, instructors, staff, and friends of the Oklahoma CareerTech System. From scholarships to community programs, CareerTech donors generously support the spirit and tradition of CareerTech.

The Foundation works with CareerTech to identify and pursue opportunities that align with the CareerTech mission: “We prepare Oklahomans to succeed in the workplace, in education, and in life.”

Tri County Technology Center is one of 29 public technology centers in the Oklahoma CareerTech System. TCTC provides life changing learning experiences to the students they serve, primarily from Nowata, Osage, and Washington Counties (14,600 students in fiscal year 2014).

TCTC offers full-time programs serving high school and adult students. Each program corresponds with a career major that is approved by the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technical Education (ODCTE). TCTC’s full-time programs lead students to high school graduation, post-secondary education, industry licensure, and/or the skills needed for employment.

The recipients of the Otha Grimes Memorial Scholarship at Tri County Technology Center are enrolled in full-time programs, including Practical Nursing (PN), Cosmetology (COS), and Networking Technology (NET).
