Remember that Thanksgiving break is right around the corner. There will be no school Nov. 24-28. We hope everyone has an opportunity to enjoy their family during this holiday!

The Wynona Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 6:30 p.m. with line-up at 5:45 p.m.

Tosha Greenleaf will be in charge of the parade this year and we are urging everyone to get out and support the parade and Tosha. The theme will be Storybook and Movie Characters. Santa will be available after the parade to hand out treats to the little ones. Tosha is asking that anyone planning to be in the parade call or text her at 918-440-0422. Donations are appreciated for the candy for the kiddos. Send to Wynona Town Hall at P.O. Box 580, Wynona, OK 74084. We are planning on 150-200 treat sacks for the kids and elderly.

The Flu Shot Clinic sponsored by Mays Health Call from Ponca City was successful with 20 people given flu shots. If anyone missed getting one, they can call Wynona Town Hall at 918-846-2526 and we will try to set up another one. We want to keep all of our people healthy!

The Wynona CDBG Waterline grant is nearing completion. We have several blocks of new waterlines and service taps and some new fire hydrants. It has been an ordeal for the residents of Wynona with having the water shut off several different times while the service taps were made. Trustees and employees wish to thank all the water customers for their patience while the water was shut off. It was a painful ordeal for all of us, but the new lines will be worth it in the long run.

Just a reminder that Lee Webb, VFW service officer, is still coming to the Town Hall on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to help veterans with their benefits.Every Friday Lee will be at the Pawhuska Community Center from 9-11 a.m., Wynona 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and Hominy from 1-2 p.m.

The Osage Home Health has been coming to Wynona Town Hall for quite some time now to take Blood Pressure and Blood Sugars. She comes on the first of the month or the first day that follows if the first comes on a weekend.
