Sweet ride

Indian Camp Elementary School student Nathaniel Sparks was given a ride to school in a Pawhuska Fire Department truck last week, courtesy of Mayor Roger Taylor and his wife Leona. Pictured, from left, are firefighter Brad Hayman, PFD Chief Gip Allen, Nathaniel Sparks and firefighter Josh Alexander. The Taylors donated a ticket for the fire truck ride at the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce Auction and donated it to the school. Indian Camp Elementary incorporated it into an observance of Community Helpers Day, which also included school visits by local law enforcement officers and an AirEvac Lifeteam helicopter.
