Season to Taste

You could say I like to eat meat, but I’m certainly not as “carnivorous” as my spouse. I love a great steak and truthfully, I can’t see myself ever turning down a good-old-cheeseburger. However, I’d rather have my Meat Lover’s Unite membership card jerked than ever turn down a sinfully sensational salad! Salads are my thing and embracing the idea that putting one together is a laborious task is flat out crazy! Pair the following recipe with your favorite meat dish or enjoy eating it all alone, as in … sharing not required.

It’s All in the Salad Dressing Tonight!

½ pint sour cream

½ tsp. garlic salt

½ tsp. celery salt

½ tsp. paprika

½ tsp. pepper

2 Tbsp. sugar

1 Tbsp. vinegar

1 tsp. salt

¼ cup real mayonnaise

1 small wedge of blue cheese

*Mix all the seasonings with the sour cream. Stir well. Crumble in the blue cheese and blend lightly. Prior to drizzling this luscious creation, you may simply cut iceberg lettuce into wedges and top off with the following: Julienned strips of carrots, finely minced red onion, and diced cherry tomatoes. It makes a pretty presentation but it is also just as easy to chop it all up in a salad bowl and pass the dressing on the side.
