FOUNDERS DAY INFORMATION NEXT WEEK

The Town of Wynona has been buzzing with clean up, mowing, etc for Founders Day. We hope to have a list of winners next week. Thanks to all the townspeople who have worked so hard cleaning up their property.

4-WHEELER REMINDER

The Wynona Police Department has been getting calls about 4-wheelers and motorcycles. The Town ordinance requires that ATV riders be 16 years of age and older, only ride during daylight hours, and have a town tag. They can’t ride on the highway, or on people’s property that is not their own. Officer Kevin Young advised that citations would be issued to those who don’t follow the rules.

VETERAN REPRESENTATIVE AT WYNONA TOWN HALL

Just a reminder that Lee Webb is still coming to the Town Hall on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. to help veterans with their benefits.

Veterans are reminded that they can use their tax exempt card from the state to exempt taxes on their phone bills. Contact your telephone provider for more details.

The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs representative will not be coming to Osage County anymore, but Webb will be still doing veterans assistance for this area.

Every Friday Webb will be at the Pawhuska Community Center from 9 - 11 a.m.; in Wynona from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; in Hominy from 1 - 2 p.m.; and at Cleveland City Hall from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Any other towns that need assistance can come to one of these towns to meet with Webb.

VA Healthcare meets all the requirements for Obamacare, so anyone who does not have their VA Healthcare should come and talk to Webb.

FARMERS MARKET VOUCHERS AVAILABLE AT TOWN HALL JULY 10

The Osage Nation Title VI program is sponsoring the Farmer’s Market Produce Vouchers again this year. The vouchers will be distributed on Thursday, July 10th from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The vouchers are for all senior citizens, 55 years of age and older. They plan to have a food vendor on site so that Wynonans won’t have to go out of town to use their vouchers. Help us to spread the word!
