Handy’s Remote Kitchen opens in Pawhuska

After months of remodeling the former Crystal Barber Shop at 536 Leahy, Beverly Moore is finally ready to open Handy’s Remote Kitchen.

Moore’s transformation of the building serves two purposes. The front will house niece Caitlin’s Flower Shoppe. The back has been transformed into Moore’s kitchen away from home. She inaugurated her remote kitchen Saturday by making delectable treats for the Flower Shoppe’s grand opening along with two baby shower cakes and a Thunder birthday cake for a 15-year-old customer.

“We will be serving homemade cupcakes, donuts and accept special orders for cakes,” said Moore.

Pastries will be available at 9 a.m. from the Flower Shoppe and 8 a.m. from Handy’s which is located at the corner of Lynn Avenue and Main. They will be available all day or until sold out. The cupcakes are a customer favorite.

Because the donuts are heat sealed, they are microwavable and have a three-day shelf life – if they remain on the counter that long.

Eventually Moore said she plans to offer larger donuts and trays with dipping sauces.

To place orders, call Handy’s Remote Kitchen at 918-287-3605.
