Dinner event benefits PHS golf program

A fundraising dinner was held Monday to benefit the golf program at Pawhuska High School.

The chili/potato bake took place at the Family Life Center of First United Methodist Church. A good turnout was reported for the event, which also included a raffle for a 50-inch flat screen television.

Monty Unruh is the PHS golf coach. Members of the boys’ golf team include Bailey Thompson, Tucker Helmer, Logan Bigeagle, Chandler Helmer, Trent Hughes and Mickey Melosar. The lone member of the Pawhuska girls’ squad is Sage Allen.

The Pawhuska Huskie golfers were scheduled to play Tuesday at the Clary Fields Golf Club in Sapulpa. A girls’ event is set next Tuesday in Cushing.
