Class wins CPP poster contest

Mrs. Sharon Hendren’s 1st Grade Class entered Citizen’s for Pride in Pawhuska’s (CPP) recent poster contest and won!

Launched on May 3, the class had less than a week to come up with a winning idea that reflected their pride in Pawhuska.

The contest was open to all Indian Camp students 1st through 4th grade.

Hester Ferguson, GFWC Heeko spokesperson and contest organizer, said “The purpose of the contest was to bring awareness to our children about how important it is to pick up trash and to keep our town clean. We are very proud of these young people and hope they inspire their peers to join in our campaign to restore Pride in Pawhuska.”

As a reward, each of the 20 first-grade students received their very own trophy, courtesy of Martin and LaCrecia Parks of Trophies & Plaques Unlimited.
