LOCAL FLAVOR: Linda Boone's winning Skillet Meatloaf
What began during my collegiate years as a mere, “slight interest,” in saving tried and true recipes eventually evolved into a lifetime OBSESSION of garnering the best of the best, TRIED AND TRUE RECIPES from family and friends!
So, when Linda Boone unexpectedly called and offered a blast from the past, straight from the heart of the August 1988 Pawhuska Journal Capital, it was a sure-fired guarantee to trigger a recipe hound’s greatest passion! HECK, YES!!!!
The J-C held a recipe contest in which anyone could submit their ultimate recipe for the category of their choice. Linda chose the MEAT category and found herself declared…..THE WINNER!!! Now, how great is that?? There’s no doubt, her meatloaf will taste just as tantalizing in 2022 as it did when she walked away with top honors in 1988! Way to shine, Linda!
