Youth dance is

slated for Friday

Pawhuska Elks Lodge will hold a youth Ddance from 8-11 p.m. Friday,. This event is to give the youth a place to go and have fun. There will be light snacks and a DJ.

Candidate filing

period starts Feb. 4

Candidates for municipal offices in the Town of Avant, Town of Burbank, City of Barnsdall, Town of Fairfax, City of Hominy, City of Shidler, Town of Prue and Town of Wynona will file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Feb. 4.

Kelly Chouteau, secretary of the Osage County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Feb. 6.

Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the county Election Board office for the indicated offices for each of the following municipalities:

Town of Avant:

1 Trustee, 4-year term

Clerk/Treasurer, 4-year term

City of Barnsdall:

Council Member Ward 1, 4-year term

Council Member Ward 3, 4-year term

Council Member Ward 4, 2-year unexpired term

Mayor, 4-year term

City Clerk, 4-year term

City Marshal, 4-year term

Street Commissioner, 4-year term

Town of Burbank:

2 Trustees, 4-year terms

Town of Fairfax:

3 Trustees, 4-year terms

Clerk/Treaurer, 4-year term

City of Hominy:
