Liverpool Legends show to benefit SPCA
Dog lovers, cat devotees, Beatles fans, Liverpool Legends groupies, classic rock music enthusiasts and those interested in an evening of fun are invited to attend the benefit show “Liverpool Legends - We Get by With a Little Help From Our Friends,” on Saturday, April 20 at 7 p.m.
The show will be held in the Performance Hall of the Bartlesville Community Center. All proceeds from the show will benefit the Washington County SPCA.
Liverpool Legends, the Beatles tribute band that drew a standing room only crowd at SunFest last summer, will return bringing their entire show – including costume changes, video entertainment and lighting. “We are very excited to return to Bartlesville with the opportunity to do our full theater show at such a beautiful venue,” said Marty Scott, Liverpool Legends’ George Harrison character. An established show in Branson since 2006, Liverpool Legends has been voted Best New Show and Best Band. Last year they were nominated for a Grammy Award for their work on “Fab Fan Memories” and received the prestigious Visitors’ Choice Award for Best Show and Best Show.
The evening will transport the audience back to 1964 when the Beatles began their great career. As ‘The Complete Beatles Experience” unfolds the Liverpool Legends group will perform songs spanning the entire career of The Beatles up through the solo years of John, Paul, George and Ringo.
“For our first major fundraising event, we wanted to do something that would appeal to a broad group of people. We wanted people of all ages – families and individuals to feel welcome in celebrating the Washington County SPCA. Pets bring smiles and laughter into the lives of those around them. It is our wish that this evening will bring smiles, good memories and fun for the entire audience – all the while benefitting an organization that has served our community for 48 years,” said Dawnette Brady, event co-chair.
Tickets available at the Bartlesville Community Center Box office. They may be purchased in person, online: www.bartlesvillecommunitycenter.com or by phoning: 918-336-2787.
