COMMERCE — Eight different players scored goals as Commerce crushed the Langston Hughes Academy for Arts and Technology 10-0 here Friday, April 13.

The Tigers led 8-0 at the break and the match was called at about the 36-minute mark in the second half.

Jose Covarrubias and Luis Gonzales had two goals each for Commerce (6-5 overall and 3-2 in District 4A-8).

Lupe Prado, Anthony Cardenas, Salvador Martinez, Ty Jauert, Benito Dominguez and Jose Ramirez had one each.

Langston Hughes forfeited the girls’ match.


Commerce hosts Tulsa Webster in district play Tuesday, April 17.
