Troy V. Brewer

Troy V Brewer, 76, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, surrounded by his family and then went home to be with the Lord.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary F Brewer; his son, Steve T Brewer, PhD and daughter in law Shirley Brewer; his daughter, Kym C Patrick, JD and son in law Brian Patrick,; his grandchildren Nicholas Brewer, Elizabeth Brewer, and Olivia Patrick; and many close friends.

Troy was born in Sallisaw Oklahoma and is the son of Harley T. and Lilie B. Brewer.

Troy joined the Army and served in Vietnam before returning home to Sallisaw.

Troy retired from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 2007 after 25 years. Troy left a memorable impression on all those he came into contact with.

Troy loved to hunt and spent many hours, rain or shine, looking for the biggest buck. Troy had a quick wit and loved to tease and tell jokes and he couldn’t pass up a good Dodge Ram. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Services will be held Monday, March 20, 1:00PM, at Kendrick McCartney Johnson Funeral Home, Pawhuska. OHP Chaplain Sam Garner will officiate. OHP Honor Guard will perform graveside honors. Interment will be in the Pixley Cemetery near Ralston, OK.
