Edna Lauree Eilerts Brunfeldt, 91, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2023, joining her husband, Robert Joseph Brunfeldt, who died in 2011. A memorial service will be held for Lauree at First Presbyterian Church, Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 2 p.m. with a Celebration of Life to follow at Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge. A private interment will take place in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Lauree was born July 2, 1931, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Charles Kenneth and Velma Zoll Eilerts. She attended Oklahoma State University, where she was a proud member of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. After graduation, Lauree worked at Phillips Petroleum company in the accounting department. She traveled extensively, taking wonderful photographs of her adventures. Lauree married Robert Joseph Brunfeldt on July 9, 1977, and together they lived in Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Greensboro, North Carolina; and Charlottesville, Virginia.

After her marriage to Bob, she continued her love of travel and was especially fond of cruises, which they enjoyed often. A lifelong lover of music, Lauree was an avid pianist. Lauree never backed down from an adventure, accepting new challenges to jet ski, snorkel (even though she was afraid of the water!), snow ski, and learned to play golf. Lauree loved to follow the LPGA and the UVA women's basketball team.

Lauree is survived by her niece, Catherine "Cathi" E. Case of Charleston, S.C., and her nephew, Bruce Case of Stoughton, Wis.; as well as five great nephews and four great nieces. Lauree also leaves behind Bob's daughter, Roberta Brunfeldt Crosby and her husband Ivan Crosby of Charlottesville, Va.; and Bob's son, David Reed Brunfeldt and his wife Joan Krauss Brunfeldt of Lawrence, Kan.; Bob's six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all her extended family. Lauree had many dear and wonderful friends and neighbors, especially T.C. and Sara, that she came to know and cherish during her many years at Westminster-Canterbury of the Blue Ridge.

Lauree was predeceased by her husband, her parents; her brother, Charles Kenneth Eilerts; her sister, Velma "Illyeene" Case; and her nephews, Steven Kenneth Case and Charles "Randy" Case.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to WCBR Foundation, 250 Pantops Mountain Road, Charlottesville, VA 22911, or a charity of your choice. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.hillandwood.com.
