Esther E. Stanton passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at Windsor Palace Nursing Home, Coffeyville, Kan.

She was 84 years old.

Esther was born May 17, 1929 in Mexico, the daughter of Luis and Aurora (Borja) Vizcaino. On Oct.r 9, 1953, she married Kenneth Melton Stanton in El Paso, Texas. He preceded her in death April 25, 1993.

The Stantons made their home for many years in Pawhuska. Esther was a very dedicated member of the church and serving the Lord. She loved being a wife and mother. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, flower gardening, bowling and playing card games.

Surviving are her sons Billy Joe Stanton of Bartlesville, Okla., David Lee Stanton of Sedan, Kan.; daughters Wendy Jo Franklin of Ash Grove, Mo., Cindy Jo Dildine of Owasso, Okla.: brother Rigo Vizcaino; sister Aurora Vizcaino; grandchildren Amber Stanton, Shane Stanton, Kenny Stanton, Terry Stanton, Brandon Stanton, Raven Reeves, Carey Dildine, Cole Franklin; great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 19, at McCartney’s Johnson Funeral Home.

Pastor Mike Franklin, Pawhuska Assembly of God Church, officiated. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Cemetery, Hominy, Okla.
