Charley Frank Miller Sr., 61, died Monday, March 14, at the Medicalodge of Dewey.

Born Nov. 5, 1954, in Pawhuska, he was the son of Thomas Jackson and Lois Fern (Whipple) Miller. He graduated from Pawhuska High School with the Class of 1973. On Oct. 19, 1973, he married the former Nettie Jo Stapp in Barnsdall.

A veteran, Charley was retired from the U.S. Army, where he became a helicopter pilot. Flying was his life. He was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans. In his spare time, Charley loved dancing. He also enjoyed hunting and cooking, and spending time with his grandkids, family and friends.

Surviving family members include: his wife, Nettie Miller, of the home; his children. Charley Frank Miller, Jr., and wife, Brandy; Benny Jack Miller and wife, Julie; and Sheena Miller. Also surviving are: his sisters, Wanda White and husband, Jimmy; Lois Hartley and husband, Leroy; and his brother, Jackie Miller and wife, Laveta, and six grandchildren: Maverick and Mya Miller; Megan, Shelby, Allison and Corbin Miller; as well as other family and friends. Charley was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lois Miller.
