Week of April 15-21

Barnsdall Public Schools has completed its first week of Remote Learning, as students prepare to work from home for the remainder of the semester. All students are required to complete a weekly activity log and turn it in to their assigned homeroom teacher by the end of each week.

Students should be checking their email daily to ensure they are aware of their classroom assignments. The school Facebook pages are also an important place to check daily to ensure you are aware of any new information. All teachers will be available during their virtual office hours, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your teachers or a school staff member by email.

Check out the Barnsdall Public Schools Facebook page to view the students celebrating their first week of remote learning by participating in the Virtual Spirit Week. It looked like the students had a great first week learning remotely.

If you are a high school junior, Oklahoma State University has planned a Virtual Junior Day, Saturday, April 18. The event will consist of representatives from across the campus showing you what life is like at OSU. If you are interested in registering for this event, please sign up on Mrs. Farber’s Google Classroom page. All students who attend the event will receive a free orange T-shirt.

Barnsdall Public Schools has cleaned out the school supplies and personal belongings from all lockers, desks, and cubbies for you to pick up on Thursday, April 16, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. All supplies will be placed in a bag with your child’s name on it to be handed to you as you remain in your vehicle. If you have an elementary student, please drive through the circle drive at the elementary school. If you have a high school student, please drive down Cedar street towards the arch. You will remain in your vehicle as a staff member brings your child’s items to you. If your child has any books to turn into their teacher, please bring those items with you. If you are unable to pick up the items or do not want to get out in public, your child’s supplies will be put safely in storage until the fall. This event is not mandatory for you to come, but an opportunity for you to pick up your child’s items if you needed them before next school year.

Barnsdall Elementary School will have their drive-thru Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-Up this Friday, April 17 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The enrollment is for new students for the
