If you have opinions about candidates for Pawhuska city manager, this would be a good time to tell members of the City Council what you think.
Pawhuska Mayor Roger Taylor said Monday he anticipates the City Council may interview city manager candidates in late May. He confirmed the city has reopened the search for a permanent city manager.
Larry Eulert, who had previously worked as a banker and as city manager for Hominy, has served as interim Pawhuska city manager since late 2017. He was appointed shortly after the Oct. 26, 2017 resignation of City Manager Mike McCartney.
Taylor spoke highly of the job Eulert has done as interim city manager, but said it is time for the city to take steps to find a permanent manager.
“We waited a little bit longer than we should have,” Taylor said, expressing an interest in moving on so that Eulert can pursue personal interests and enjoy life. “We need to kind of start getting him squared away.”
Eulert has a reputation for strong financial management skills. He has previously served on the Hominy City Council and remains treasurer for that community.
