Johnny Dale Rupp, 59, a resident of Shawnee, passed away Oct. 1, 2018.
Johnny Dale Rupp, of Shawnee, passed away and joined his Heavenly Father on Oct. 1, 2018. He was born April 18, 1959, in San Jose, California to Jimmie Lee Rupp and Joy Ann (Gregory) Rupp.
John graduated from Midwest City High School and worked as a banker while attending school at the University of Oklahoma, studying Business Administration. He worked as a Banker and became a Vice President of Operations in the banking industry. During this time he also helped raise his niece, Jayna through her early years. After diagnoses of a serious illness, John met a dear friend, June Holland, who guided him to reaffirm his belief in the Lord. He became very active in church; he was the “candyman” greeter, drove the shuttle, ushered, attended many church functions, and began religious studies at OBU. His renewed faith prepared him for his passing. John loved hunting and fishing, but most of all, he loved family. He never met a person he didn’t like and could make friends with anyone.
