BLOOD DRIVE SEPT. 28
Oklahoma Blood Institute is kicking off football season with this season’s new “Win from Within” Bedlam T-shirts! The OBI will conduct a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Elks Lodge, 2542 Elk Lodge Dr.
All donors will receive a free T-shirt in their choice of OU crimson or OSU orange. The Elks Lodge will be providing food and the Pawhuska Hospital Auxiliary will provide dessert.
Anyone who is healthy and 16 years old* or older can make a life-saving difference for their fellow Oklahomans by giving blood.

Health screenings and Donor Rewards points, redeemable for gift cards and apparel in Oklahoma Blood Institute’s online store, are also provided to donors. If donors opt not to take the T-shirt, funds will be given to Global Blood Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity organization helping to procure much-needed blood center supplies in developing countries.

HIGHWAY MEETING IN BARNSDALL
A proposal to improve 2 miles of State Highway 11 in Osage County is scheduled to be discussed in Barnsdall on Thursday, Sept. 21. The public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Barnsdall High School, 200 8th St.
The project would address a segment of SH-11 from the SH-123 junction east of Barnsdall and extending 2 miles southeast. The highway has curves, sight distance limitations due to steep hills and inadequate shoulders. The proposed project would widen the highway and replace two narrow bridges over Dog Thresher and Little Dog Thresher Creeks.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation will present several alternatives for consideration at the meeting and is also seeking public input to help in the development of the project plans. The project is currently scheduled for a FFY2020 construction bid.
All project materials will also be made available online following the meeting at www.odot.org/publicmeetings.
To request an accommodation, please contact the ODOT ADA Coordinator at 405-521-4140 or the Oklahoma Relay Service at 1-800-722-0353. If you have any ADA or Title VI questions email ODOTemail@example.com.
