Loretta F. (Couch) Lynn, 85, of Tecumseh, passed from this life Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Oklahoma City.

Loretta F. (Couch) Lynn, 85, of Tecumseh, passed from this life Saturday, July 22, 2017, in Oklahoma City.

She was born Jan. 24, 1932, to Delmer and Ora (Hill) Couch in Cleveland County in the Noble area.

Loretta was raised on the family farm in Byars, Oklahoma, where she worked alongside her parents on the farm and at the family-owned grocery store. She attended Byars Public Schools and was a graduate of Byars High School.

She met her future husband, Ephriam A. Lynn, while working at her parents' grocery store at Cushman Corner when Ephriam was running a meat route for Zollie Edgin. They were married on Feb. 10, 1950, in Shawnee. Loretta and Ephriam began their family south of Noble, living in Norman and Salida, Colorado, before moving to and living in Tecumseh since 1957.

Loretta worked in retail sales all her life. She, along with Ephriam, owned and operated Lynn’s Grocery, which was located in between where the Subway and Masonic Lodge sit today and next to the original Phillips 66 station owned by James Jett at the time and Lynn’s Service Station in Tecumseh. Her most recent job in the retail sales was working for Wal-Mart.

Loretta was a member of the Baptist faith and attended Sharon Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had a passionate for family genealogy. Loretta was a hard worker; a loving, kind and compassionate women who had a beautiful soul. She will be dearly missed by all those who had the privilege to come to know and love her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Ora Couch; daughter-in-law, Linda Lynn.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 67 years, Ephriam Lynn of the home; son, Bob Lynn of Bethel Acres; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Hubbard of Perkins; three grandchildren, Chad Hubbard, Amber Cassettari and Curtis Lynn; great-granddaughter, Gabriella Cassettari; and many loving friends and extended family.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, and continue through service time. Family gathering to meet with friends and family will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 25, at Cooper Funeral Home.

Service will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, July 26, at Sharon Baptist Church with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
