SCHOOL NEWS

(Submitted by Superintendent Shelley Shulanberger)

There was to be no school Monday, Sept. 19, which was to be a professional day for the teachers.

Mr. Powell transported some of the high school students to Alva to attend a Saturday presentation and classes for robotics. This is always a fun and exciting activity for our students. Be on the lookout for the Robot created by our high school students.

The fifth-sixth grade students will attend StarBase Stem training Wednesday. The bus leaves around 7:30. If you would like to attend with your student, contact the office. We would love to have you make the trip.

Cookie dough and cheesecake order forms are due. Please turn in money and order forms to the first-hour teacher. This money helps our teachers and students with supplies, equipment and other necessary items. We appreciate everyone’s support in our fundraiser. The highest seller will receive $50. Everyone who sells more than 10 boxes will attend a pizza party.

On Sept. 30, interested ninth-12th-grade students will be attending a college fair at Tri-County Tech. This is a great opportunity to discover information about colleges. There will be over 30 different colleges in attendance.

If you did not make it to conferences, please contact your child’s teacher to schedule an appointment with them.

If you haven’t received a progress report, contact the office. If you do not have a Wengage account for your child, please contact Mrs. Shulanberger. This is an online grade book and attendance tracker. You will be able to login in and view your child’s grades and attendance via the website at any time.

THANKS TO ESCAPE

We want to again thank ESCAPE Ministries for providing local residents with apples, pears, potatoes and zuchini. They have been so good to us and the people of Wynona.
