The Oklahoma State University Extension Service in Osage County will be painting barn quilts to hang on your barn or in your home from 5-9 p.m. Oct. 4 in the women’s building at the Osage County Fairgrounds.
The barn quilt paintings will be 2-by-2 feet squares. Participants will need a nice square of plywood that doesn’t have holes or bad spots. Squares should be available at area lumber stores for about $5. Please paint the front, back and edges with white paint before coming to the event. The type of paint doesn’t matter. It’s just being used as primer.
Participants will need painters tape, some small brushes and a ruler. OSU Extension Services will supply some tape, brushes, and lots of colors of paint.
If you are interested, please call and sign up at the Osage County Extension Office at 918-287- 4170.
Space will be limited for painting, so please register. Cost of the class will be $10 per person.
