The First National Bank of Sedan has continued to grow in Pawhuska since opening a Loan Production Office here nearly two years ago.

Pawhuska native Ben Allen, the agriculture representative for the bank, agreed to manage the local office until his retirement — which is coming up next month. His hard work and knowledge of Osage County have helped to make the expansion a success.

Longtime Pawhuskan James Hager recently joined the First Bank of Sedan team and will continue the expansion efforts.

Hager’s 43 years of business experience in Osage County began at the C. R. Anthony Co. store in 1973. In May 1975, he and his wife, Alma, purchased Hub Clothier’s, which remained in operation until 1992. In 1988, Hager was elected as the state Representative for District 36. He started his banking career after 10 years service as an elected official and has been as a loan officer and vicen president for the past 18 years.

“Alma and I have shared a lifetime and raised our family in Pawhuska,” said Hager. “I have had the good fortune of serving and working with many people from the surrounding communities.”

First National Bank of Sedan is inviting the public to visit the Pawhuska LPO, 536 Kihekah.

“We are pleased to welcome James Hager to our staff and look forward to many years of continued friendships and the fostering of new relationships as we continue our growth,” a press release from the bank stated.

Hager can be reached at his local office by calling (918)704-1448.

“I still adhere to what I learned at the start of my business career, that the way to stay in business is through repeat business,” Hager said.
