The three-day filing period for board of education candidates in Pawhuska and other area school districts begins at 8 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, according to Osage County Election Board Secretary Andrea Conner.

Declarations of candidacy will continue being accepted during business hours Tuesday and Wednesday, with the filing period scheduled to close at 5 p.m. on Dec. 4. The deadline to contest a candidacy or for withdrawing from a race is 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, Conner added.
