McLOUD — Propelled by an 18-run explosion in the second inning, McLoud battered Chickasha 20-2 Tuesday.

McLoud, 17-6, sent 22 batters to the plate in the second. The game was ended on the run rule after 2 ½ innings.

McLoud accumulated 16 hits to go along with four Chickasha errors.

Jessie Wooten and Katelyn Hoover went 3-for-3. Wooten homered twice, doubled and knocked in five runs. Hoover drove in four runs off a home run, double and single.

Callie Cardin posted a HR and double while Lexi Boyer swatted two doubles and finished with three RBI. Rachelle Stephens singled twice and drove in three runs.

Chickasha had three hits.

McLoud will entertain Perkins-Tryon Thursday at 4:30. The Lady Redskins’ senior night will be Friday at 5:30 versus visiting Harding Charter. McLoud will be idle Saturday before taking on Harrah and Norman North Monday at Harrah. McLoud will be home against Dale Tuesday.
