Afton’s Class A state championship game against Crescent will be played Friday, Dec. 8 at Owasso Stadium, home of the newly crowned Class 6A-I state champs.

The game will kick off at 7 p.m.

The Eagles advanced to the championship game for the first time ever with a 52-7 romp over Thomas Friday, Dec. 1, at Cushing.

“They did a really good job last year,” Afton head coach Zach Gardner said. “They welcomed us with open arms and the facilities are top notch. Its nice that we have a chance to go redeem ourselves at that field.”

The Eagles dropped a 43-15 decision to eventual state champ Hominy at Owasso Stadium last year.

“It’s not going to feel foreign to us,” Gardner said.

Friday’s romp over Thomas gave the Eagles a school record 13th win.
