Carole Lavonne Bayhylle went to Heaven on Oct. 13, 2013 at the age of 78 while at home, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Pawnee, Okla. on April 30, 1935. He father was Dan Bayhylle, Jr., mother Virginia Logan Red Eagle.
She loved writing poetry and telling stories. She will be most remembered by her laugh.
She was survived by her two daughters, Mary Mashunkashey and Ramona Wilson; seven grandchildren, Eddy Harris, Tiffany Harris, Gabrielle Turley, Macy Mashunkashey, Jimmy Ives, Courtney Ives, Jesse Ives; and 13 great grandchildren.
One brother, Norman Bayhylle, preceded her in death.
Three surviving brothers are Eddy Red Eagle, Jr., John D. Red Eagle and Myron Red Eagle.
Rosary was recited Wednesday, Oct. 16, at the Indian Camp Chapel in Pawhuska. Traditional Services were held Thursday, Oct. 17, at the chapel with Everett Waller officiating. Mass followed at at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska. Father Chris Daigle officiated. Interment was in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery in Hominy, Okla.
McCartney’s Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
