YAHOO! WE GOT A FLU SHOT CLINIC
We have been trying for weeks to have a flu shot clinic for Wynonans and finally got a call that we can have one. Carter Health Care will be putting it on for us on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 9 a.m. until noon. We hope that everyone who needs a flu shot will come and take advantage of this clinic. Please let your friends and neighbors know about this clinic! They take Medicare, so bring your cards and if you don’t have Medicare, the cost per shot is $25. We appreciate Carter Health Care and hope everyone comes to get a shot and stay healthy!
It may seem odd to offer condolences this way, but Wynonans are really sad and disappointed about the fire at the Assembly of God Church. This church has been open to help the town with Baccalaureate, funerals, Santa Claus, auctions for good causes, voting, as well as a great church. So sad that someone would burn up any place, much less a church.
VETERAN REPRESENTATIVE AT TOWN HALL
Just a reminder that Lee Webb is still coming to the Town Hall on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 to help Veterans with their benefits. Veterans are reminded that they can use their tax exempt card from the state to exempt taxes on their phone bills. Contact your telephone provider for details. The Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs representative will not be coming to Osage County, but Lee Webb will be still doing the Veterans Assistance for this area. Every Friday Lee will be at the Pawhuska Community Center-9 a.m - 11 a.m., Wynona 11:30a.m .- 12:30 p.m., and Hominy from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m., and any other towns that need assistance can come to one of these towns to meet with Lee. The VA Healthcare meets all the requirements for Obamacare, so anyone who does not have their VA Healthcare should come and talk to Lee. He will also be at Cleveland at the City Hall from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. on Fridays, as well.
The Wynona Christmas parade will be Saturday, Dec. 14 beginning at 6:30 p.m. All clubs and organizations should be making their plans to be in our parade. Santa will be handing out treats, with a big thanks to Jim and Jeannie Votaw for their generous donation for the treats!
