An open-air Western dance is scheduled Saturday night at the Osage County Fairgrounds in Pawhuska.
Featuring music by national recording artist Trent Willmon, the evening concert will conclude the 79th annual convention of the Osage County Cattlemen’s Association.
The dance, co-sponsored by the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce, is expected to begin around 8 p.m. following completion of the Ben Johnson Memorial Steer Roping at the fairgrounds Arena.
Admission cost for the concert is $15. A special $20 package provides tickets for the roping, which begins at 3 p.m. and concert.
A West Texas native, Willmon was active in 4-H and FFA and also participated in basketball, track and ranch rodeos while attending Patton Springs High School in Aspen. He was an ag science major at South Plains College and worked various jobs before moving to Nashville and pursuing his dream of being a professional singer.
Willmon has released three albums, which include many of his own songs. Among his top hits are: "Keep On Lovin’ You," "Back When I Knew It All," "Drivin’ Home" and "Swingin’ From the Chandeliers."
