Oct. 18 will provide a special opportunity for readers in Osage County, as the author and the setting of one of America’s bestsellers come together again for a few hours.

David Grann’s, Killers of the Flower Moon, tells the true story of the murders in Osage County in the early 1920s, which led to a high-profile prosecution at the historic courthouse in Pawhuska. Based on unprecedented oil wealth, vicious hidden greed, a plot twist that is shocking, and the beginnings of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Killers of the Flower Moon has captivated the country and Hollywood, as the movie rights have been purchased.

Oct. 18, the author returns to the setting of the story for a meet-and-greet book signing. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waterbird Gallery, located at 134 E. 6th Street in Pawhuska, you can visit with the author in person and leave with an autographed copy. Waterbird owner Danette Daniels said she will have plenty of copies of the book available for purchase at the signing.
