LEXINGTON — It was a case of too little too late for Prague Monday as it dropped a 6-4 decision to Lexington.
Lexington recorded a triple and a home run in a six-run second inning, then staved off a Prague charge which netted two runs in both the sixth and seventh innings.
Demi Manning had a run-scoring single in the sixth. Teammates Josi Goodman and Brittany Harwell provided RBI singles in the seventh.
Prague, 17-7, outhit Lexington 9-6 as Taylor Hodges and Harwell finished with two singles.
Goodman, Harwell and Manning drove in a run apiece.
Losing hurler Beth Denney surrendered six hits and six runs, only three of which were earned. She walked one batter.
Prague will be at Roff today at 4:30. The Lady Red Devils will entertain Washington at 5:30 Thursday.
