MCLOUD – The Lady Redskins earned two hard-fought victories Monday evening. In the first game, McLoud beat Kingfisher 4-2 followed by a walk-off 3-2 win over Chandler.

In game one, Kingfisher jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, and Lexie Boyer's RBI double scored Callie Cardin to bring the score even in the bottom of the first.

Makyna Higdon who led the second inning off with a walk, was brought home on a Cardin sacrifice fly.

McLoud scored two more runs in the fifth inning thanks to a Karlie Norwood single that scored Shyann Shipman and a Jessie Wooten RBI double that brought Norwood home for the second run. After five innings, McLoud led 4-1.

Rylee Walker, Cardin, Boyer, Shipman, Norwood and Wooten all recorded hits in the game one win.

In the second game of the evening, McLoud scored the first two runs of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Wooten drove in Norwood on a triple, giving McLoud a 1-0 lead. Stephens then reached on a throwing error that scored Wooten.

Chandler got in on the scoring in the top of the sixth when Morgan Fowble was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, scoring Kelsey Williams. The Lady Lions' second run came when Abagail Russell was hit by a pitch that scored Makalyn Herring, evening the score 2-2.

In the bottom of the seventh, Shipman advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on a throwing error the third base.

Sears picked up two wins in the circle Monday. She pitched two complete games and struck out five batters over the 14 innings of work.

McLoud (12-11) returns to action Tuesday with a road game against Blanchard. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m.
