Calling all homemade ice cream makers and eaters! The Ramona Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual Ice Cream Social and Hot Dog picnic on Monday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. They invite all of the Caney Valley area residents to attend this free event. It is a great night of fellowship and fun! Caney Valley High School football will travel to Liberty on Friday night. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. CVAA will travel to Kiefer on Saturday. Gear up in your red and black and show your Trojan pride.


The American Legion will have their monthly breakfast on Saturday, Sept. 15. Join the Legion member for biscuits and gravy, eggs and all the fixings! It is always a great time. Come out and support the legion and visit with the locals!


The annual Heritage Farm Fall Festival kicks off on Sept. 22. This is a fun-filled family event that includes a huge corn maze, pumpkin chunking, petting zoo, face painting, games, a concession and much more and is located just a few miles south of Ramona on U.S. Highway 75. Looking for a place to hold your family reunion, bridal shower or home-based business party? The Ramona Senior Citizen building is for rent for $25 a day. It contains a full kitchen, restroom and seating for right at 65 people. It is the perfect location to have your event as it is located right next to the park and there is also covered outdoor tables/seating and room to grill. The Fisk-Leffler American Legion Post is open for business! This gorgeous remodeled early 1900’s building can seat up to 150 people. They have a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious bathrooms that are large enough for wedding parties, and new round table seating that is available.
