At 6 p.m. Friday August 3, the Lady Ridgerunners hosted the second alumni game in what they hope will become an annual event.

The game was open to all graduates of Grove high school who played on the girls softball team.

A total of 24 players showed up to compete in the friendly game which was an increase from last years number of 20.

The most seasoned softball player was Lindsay Jarvis who graduated in 1997 and their newest alumni was Katie Bunch who graduated in 2018.

The girls chose to play fast pitch the whole game rotating out pitchers every few innings.

The game was open to the public free of charge with the proceed from concessions going to support the Lady Ridgerunners.

The game was a friendly competition between players with the score not mattering.

This years currently Lady Red members helped to officiate and host the event with girls serving in concessions, as umpires and announcing the batters over the PA.

The fields as usual were maintained and setup by the Lady Ridgerunners.
