Pawhuska Public Schools faces a leadership transition, after Superintendent Dr. Janet Neufeld submitted her resignation, an agenda shows.
The Board of Education is scheduled to begin considering the details during a meeting scheduled for Monday at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the school district’s administration building, 1801 McKenzie.
Among the items on the board’s agenda is voting to accept Neufeld’s resignation, who has been superintendent the past two years.
Neufeld succeeded Dr. Landon Berry, who resigned in 2016 to take another superintendent job. Pawhuska Public Schools chose Neufeld, who had worked more than 30 years as an educator in Kansas, from a field of more than 20 applicants.
The Board of Education’s Monday agenda also calls for a vote on using the Oklahoma State School Boards Association for a superintendent search to replace Neufeld.
The Pawhuska Journal-Capital attempted to contact Neufeld. As of Friday morning, phone calls have not yet been returned.
