A forum for District 10 and 11 candidates will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Voters from both districts are invited to attend this event at the American Legion Building in Ramona. It is located about a quarter mile south of the Caney Valley football field on old Highway 75. This will be an organized question/answer session with a moderator leading the session. This is a great opportunity to hear the candidates’ view points on many local and state items. The American Legion Post No. 334 will be starting up the Saturday breakfast again. It will be the third Saturday of each month from 8-11 a.m. Come down to Ramona for a delicious meal of biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage and juice and coffee.
The Washington County Cattlewomen’s second annual picnic will be held at 6 p.m. June 25 at Sooner Park. Some students will be speaking at the picnic and P&K, Kubota and Jenson will be present. Come and enjoy!
Looking for a place to hold your family reunion, bridal shower or home-based business party? The Ramona Senior Citizen building is for rent for $25 a day. It contains a full kitchen, restroom and seating for right at 65 people. It is the perfect location to have your event as it is located right next to the park and there is also covered outdoor tables/seating and room to grill! The Fisk-Leffler American Legion Post is open for business! This gorgeous remodeled early 1900s building can seat up to 150 people. They have a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious bathrooms that are large enough for wedding parties, and new round table seating that is available. If you are interested in renting the facility, contact Richard Cook at 918-876-2063 or email email@example.com. It can be rented on a daily for $100 or $50 on a half day basis. The Ramona Senior Citizens meet at 10 a.m. every Tuesday at the Senior Citizen on Main Street to play games and stay for lunch! The first and third Tuesdays of the month, the Washington County Nutrition Services brings lunch at noon and the cost is $2 per person. The other weeks of the month, attendees are to bring a dish for a potluck lunch. Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. are a great time to visit the Ramona Senior Center and join the yoga fun, this is open to all ages.
Jump into summer this month by attending Zach Fanning’s Boot Camp each Wednesday night at 5:45 p.m. at the Ramona American Legion. The cost is $10 per person and you will get your money’s worth. The great part is, he encourages you, you can go at your own pace and you get an entire 60 minutes of un-interrupted girl time. You can find him on Facebook for additional questions.
