Alumni of the Nelagoney School are scheduled to meet at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of the First Baptist Church of Pawhuska, 301 E. 6th St.

The first such reunion was held in 1948, so this will be the 70th year for the reunion. Pauline Jones Alred, a 1948 graduate, still lives in Pawhuska.

Nelagoney School opened in 1906 and the high school closed in 1968. The elementary school closed the next year, in 1969.

If you want to attend, call Jim Craun at (918) 855-1679, so there will be enough food.

There will be a social-hour period at 11:30, lunch will be at noon and the business meeting will be at 1 p.m. You are also welcome to bring an item for the silent auction.

Dues will be $5 and lunch will be $5. The alumni will be honoring the classes of 1958 and 1968.
