Claudie "Lee" Hobbs passed from this life at 1:05 a.m., Tuesday, April 10 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

Lee was born March 19, 1934 near Grove to Neicie and Elbert Hobbs. In 1952, he enlisted in the US Navy where he served eight years and participated in the Korean War.

He was a resident of Delaware County for several years. Lee was a long-haul truck driver. He retired from Peterson Propane of Decatur, Arkansas and continued after retirement driving for Lindley's Propane of Jay.

He devoted his time to raising cattle. He enjoyed attending various types of auctions. He did custom combining and baling hay.

He was proceeded in death by one daughter Fayleen (Hobbs) Crichton and one brother Harvey Robert Parris; his father Elbert Hobbs and his mother and stepfather, Neicie Hobbs-Parris and Charley Parris.

Survivors include two daughters: Tawnya (Hobbs) York of Bartlesville, and Neicie (Hobbs) Perez of Kansas; two sons: Randall Hobbs of Lindsey. and Steven Hobbs of Grove; two sisters: Marie Rowley and husband Emerson (Bud) of Jay. and Coleen Anderson of Carthage, Missouri; one brother Allen Parris and wife Bobbi of Stilwell; and 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and an extended number of family and friends.

Burial took place on April 13, at Mt. Hermon Cemetery with Pastor Mike Whitley officiating. Pallbearers were his nephews Robert Rowley, Jake Rowley, Justin Wehr, John Wehr, Mike Finley, Eric Lemond and Randall Hobbs.
