The body of a man found in Grand Lake has been identified as Robert Gene Bailey, said Jessica Brown, Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman.

Bailey’s body was discovered about 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, west of Sail Boat Bridge, along the north shore, in an area known as Catfish Cove.

Brian Edwards, chief of law enforcement and lake operations for GRDA, said GRDA police received a call about a body being found by a resident walking their dog at approximately 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Agents from the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations assisted the GRDA Police Department, and the Delaware County Sheriff's Department with the case.

Brown said the investigation is ongoing.
